KELO Well it is election season again. The major parties will tell you that if you vote libertarian then you waste your vote. So, I want to ask you a few questions. Do you remember all the folks that counted on the government to help during and after hurricane Katrina? All those folks under water? All those homes destroyed? Where did the real help come from? Ordinary folks just like you. They pushed the grindstone a little harder and dug down deep, while the almighty government gave money to thieves. You can not count on the government. You can count on your own resources, and the willingness of good people to help. That is it. To be able to care for yourself, your family and your friends, you need assets, hard cash, and land. How does the song go? Momma may have, Poppa may have, but God blessed the child that got his own. Well in the last year, we have lived to see a new and pernicious idea arise - the idea that we can take what you have and give it to someone else at rock bottom prices so long as it enriches the government. If you missed the hoopla, that is the entire thrust of KELO. Show me some action to change that law by the major parties and I might think that they were not two horns on the same bull. As long as the government can rob you to enrich itself, you are nothing but a peasant at the mercy of tyrants. Call me stupid but a vote for any party, any politician, that has not made it a goal to overturn KELO is a wasted vote. Make your politicians swear you an oath to overturn KELO and hold them to it! |
